The Ludo Frevel Crystallography Scholarship aims to support the education and research program of promising graduate students in crystallography-related fields. The applicant must be a graduate enrolled in a graduate degree program with major interest in the following:
- Crystallography e.g. crystal structure analysis
- Crystal morphology
- Modulated structures
- Correlation of atomic structure with physical properties
- Systematic classification of crystal structures
- Phase identification
- Materials characterization

The Ludo Frevel Crystallography Scholarship encourages promising graduate students to pursue crystallography-related research, the International Centre for Diffraction Data (ICDD) has established a Crystallography Scholarship Fund. The applicants may make application for one renewal at the end of the first year. All applications are to be submitted on the ICDD website. Ensure you follow the instructions correctly.
